Purpose of the Role
As Service Project Manager, you take end-to-end project leadership for the most demanding initiatives in our service business: installation and commissioning support of retrofit and conversion programs, and large multi-stakeholder service projects across the region.
You are the central interface between customer, KHS technicians, third parties, and internal KHS functions (Product Centres, Order Management, Field Service), and you ensure that scope, cost, schedule, and quality are delivered as committed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans for all assigned projects: scope, deliverables, resources, schedule, and budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables jointly with customers and internal KHS stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional project teams including KHS technicians, engineers, and third-party service providers.
- Perform structured risk management (PRIP / risk register) and proactively mitigate project risks.
- Drive change and claim management; secure proper documentation and commercial follow-through.
- Track project costs against budget and ensure full invoicing against purchase orders.
- Coordinate with site managers, FST coordinators, and Order Management for parts, tools, and resource mobilization.
- Prepare professional acceptance reports, project reviews, and lessons-learned summaries.
- Maintain complete project documentation for internal use and customer handover.
- Act as escalation point for technical and commercial issues during project execution.
- Evaluate participating KHS technicians and engineers and feed input to the field service organization.
- Support handover from project execution to after-sales service after successful completion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or Project Management qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience in industrial machinery, plant engineering, or comparable B2B technical environment.
- Proven track record in delivering installation, commissioning, retrofit, or large service projects on site.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certification is an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen: budgets, claim management, change orders, contractual review.
- Excellent stakeholder management across customer, internal teams, and subcontractors.
- Hands-on personality, willing to spend significant time on customer sites across ASEAN.
- Fluent English; additional regional languages (Thai, Bahasa, Vietnamese, etc.) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region.
